June 2026:  Our Summer programme included a very special, brand new piece composed for the orchestra by Josh Clark in memory of former player Bena Hotz.  The concert also featured Mendelssohn’s 5th Symphony and Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto.  In the afternoon was a shorter, informal concert based on the programme, appropriate for families with young children.

February 2026:  WCO were once again welcomed by the Arc for our rendition of Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf,  with the classic tale narrated by James McConnachie and accompanying artwork by Margie Sturton.  An enthusiastic audience filled the hall for our two performances which were almost sold out before the day!

January 2026:  WCO’s first concert under our new conductor Kevin Withell helped raise funds for the Samaritans with a programme of Strauss, Schubert and Brahms, with soloist Charlie Mann on French Horn.  The main concert was preceded by an afternoon mini-matinee featuring excerpts from the main programme.
